Complete fireplace renovation , conversion or upgrade of a wood burning fireplace includes a removal of old brickwork or stone , removal of stone mantle and hearth, creating new opening to fit the new fireplace into the enlarged opening, installation of the fireplace , hiding all wiring and cables and framing ( wood or steel studs ) of a wall buildout ,attaching of cement board ½ inch thick on such a frame installing at least 2 strong vertical double studs for a super strong, solid TV mount, installing and cutting stone ,installing of mantle and removing all debris. The work usually takes 2 -3 days to complete.
